Croeso i'r Repository@Bangor

[English Follows]

Bwriad y casgliad digidol hwn yw cyflwyno a hyrwyddo cynnyrch deallusol y brifysgol ar lwyfan byd-eang.

I gael mwy o fanylion, cysylltwch a repository@bangor.ac.uk.

Beth yw ystorfa sefydliadol?

Yr hyn yw storfa sefydliadol mewn gwirionedd yw casgliad o gynnyrch deallusol y brifysgol. Mae'n gasgliad ar-lein o ddeunydd a gynhyrchir gan staff a myfyrwyr. Fe'i cedwir mewn un man a, lle mae hynny'n gyfreithiol bosibl, mae'n ddeunydd sydd ar gael i bawb.

Beth mae'n rhaid i mi ei wneud?

Bob tro mae darn newydd o'ch gwaith yn cael ei gyhoeddi, neu eich bod yn rhoi cyflwyniad i gynhadledd, cyflwyno adroddiad a gomisiynwyd, etc, llenwch ffurflen ar-lein neu anfon y manylion at repository@bangor.ac.uk . Caiff y wybodaeth a roddwch ei gwirio wedyn i weld a ydyw'n gywir a chesglir unrhyw fanylion pellach sydd eu hangen. Hefyd ymchwilir ar eich rhan i delerau ac amodau hawlfraint y cyhoeddwr.

Pa fath o gyhoeddiadau y gellir eu cynnwys?

Gallwn gynnwys amrywiaeth eang o gynnyrch. Mae'r rhain yn cynnwys erthyglau mewn cyfnodolion, llyfrau rydych wedi eu hysgrifennu neu eu golygu, penodau mewn llyfrau, cyfraniadau i gynadleddau (cyhoeddedig a heb eu cyhoeddi), adroddiadau ymchwil, patentau, cyfansoddiadau, arddangosfeydd, meddalwedd, argraffiadau ysgolheigaidd a chyhoeddiadau ar y rhyngrwyd. Gellir rhestru manylion yr holl gynnyrch hyn a'u hamlygu'n fyd-eang.

Beth yw'r manteision?

  • Mae deunydd a restrir ar storfa sefydliadol yn fwy amlwg i gynulleidfa fyd-eang; daw storfeydd o'r fath yn uwch ar ganlyniadau chwilotwyr cyfrifiadurol na gwefannau personol ac, felly, mae siawns y dyfynnir mwy ohonynt.
  • Mewn casgliadau canolog, megis storfa, ceir cofnodion cywir o'ch cynnyrch deallusol ac mae hynny'n arbed amser gwerthfawr wrth gynnal gweithgareddau asesu ymchwil. Felly, pan fydd y brifysgol angen gwybodaeth ar gynnyrch ymchwil, ni fydd rhaid i ni gysylltu a chi mwyach i gael y wybodaeth hon.
  • Mae storfeydd hefyd yn galluogi i ddeunydd anghyhoeddedig, neu ddeunydd y gellir ei golli'n hawdd, gael ei ddiogelu (e.e. papurau/adroddiadau o gynadleddau).
  • Yn ogystal, mae llawer o gynghorau ymchwil a rhai cyrff cyllido preifat wedi ei gwneud yn un o amodau eu polisi cyllido erbyn hyn bod ymchwilwyr yn rhoi eu gwaith mewn storfa. I gael mwy o fanylion am ofynion cynghorau ymchwil a sut y gallent effeithio arnoch chi, gweler www.sherpa.ac.uk/juliet/ neu wefan y swyddfa ymchwil.

Beth am hawlfraint?

Fe wnawn ni wirio'r hawlfraint ar gyfer pob eitem cyn gwneud y deunydd ar gael i bawb. Erbyn hyn mae mwy a mwy o gyhoeddwyr yn caniatai erthyglau o gyfnodolion gael eu cadw mewn storfeydd sefydliadol, yn amodol ar wahanol delerau ac amodau. Gall y telerau hyn gynnwys cyfnodau o embargo neu, yn fwy cyffredin, maent yn caniatai fersiynau terfynol y deunydd (ar ol iddynt gael eu hadolygu) gael eu cadw yn hytrach na'r fersiynau PDF cyhoeddedig. Mewn achosion lle na roddir hawlfraint, dim ond manylion llyfryddol yr eitemau fydd i'w gweld.

Welcome to the Repository@Bangor

This digital collection is designed to establish and promote the global visibility of the university's intellectual output.

For more information please contact repository@bangor.ac.uk

What is an Institutional Repository?

In simple terms, an institutional repository is a portal into the university's intellectual output. It is an online collection of material produced by both staff and students, maintained in a single location and where legally possible, it makes that material freely available.

What do I have to do?

Each time you have a new piece of work published, you present at a conference, submit a commissioned report, etc, simply complete an online form or send the details to repository@bangor.ac.uk . The information you provide will then be checked for accuracy and any further details required will be collated. The publisher's copyright terms and conditions will also be investigated on your behalf.

What kind of publications can be included?

We can detail a wide range of outputs. These include journal articles, authored and edited books, book chapters, conference contributions (both published and unpublished), research reports, patents, compositions, exhibitions, software, scholarly editions, and internet publications. Details of all of these outputs can be listed and made visible globally.

What are the benefits?

  • Material listed on an institutional repository is more visible to a global audience; more so than personal websites as repositories are ranked higher on search engine results, and therefore, have the potential for increasing citation counts.
  • Central collections such as a repository maintain accurate records of your intellectual output and save valuable time when performing research assessment activities. Thus, when the university requires information on research outputs we will no longer have to contact you for this information.
  • Repositories also allow unpublished or easily lost material to be preserved (e.g. conference papers/reports).
  • Furthermore, many research councils and some private funding bodies have now made it a requirement of their funding policy for researchers to deposit their work in a repository. For more details on research councils. requirements and how they may effect you, please see http://www.sherpa.ac.uk/juliet/ or the research office website.

What about copyright?

We will check copyright for each item before making material available via open access. As time progresses more publishers are allowing journal articles to be deposited in institutional repositories, subject to various terms and conditions. These terms may include embargo periods, or more commonly, they allow the final authored versions of material (post refereed) to be deposited rather than the published PDF. In the instance that copyright is not granted, only the bibliographic details of the items will be visible.
